Museum of Contemporary Art: 30th Anniversary

I guess you can dress more or less quirkier, more or less glamorous, more or less artistic, more or less theatrical, more or less everything or nothing at all, overdressed or under dressed, with or without a stylist for an event such as...the 30th Anniversary of MOCA. What I'm trying to say is you can get away with more in an event like this. Kind of informal, but kind of not. Not necessarily dress code enforced, but you still got to come correct nonetheless! Anyway, below are some of my favorite looks of the night.

Gwen Stefani can do no wrong in my eyes. And I am loving Gavin's tattered white tee. Oh how I've missed these kids!

A splash of color! Ok, Marisa Tomei almost got it, but not quite. I love the splash of color in this picture. Summer colors in the Fall/ Winter season are my fave.

Nevermind John Legend...why is his girlfriend hella fine though?

Ms. Zoe in what she knows best...designer vintage.

Ciara and Peter Dundas of Pucci.

Amber Rose Is A Goddess: Red Dress, White Carpet

I have such a girl crush on Amber Rose. There is no doubt she stands out in a crowd. Beautiful bald head, that luscious tan, bright white teeth, and curves for days! But aside from all of her characteristics that qualify her as "beautiful", the lady has some serious style. The vixen graced the public with her presence in her stunning little red dress at Elle's 16th Annual Women in Hollywood event. I absolutely love it when the color red is paired with a nude/ khaki tone. An edgy, but ever so classic color combination. This color combination looks like a risk, but is always safe!

Amber Rose always coming correct!

I want to be her best friend.

Riri In Paris Fashion Week

Our beloved R&B princess Rihanna has gotten more buzz about her wardrobe than her actual career as a singer. Sometimes I almost forget that she actually sings because I'm too busy paying attention to her wardrobe. Rihanna's stylist Mariel Haenn is responsible for all the chic overload. She has transformed Rihanna from a tropical Barbados bumpkin to an international fashion icon. You go girl!

MTV 2009 VMA Fashion Recap

Everyone knows that award shows really aren't about the "awards" and who wins, but more so celebrity antics, and of course what people are wearing. Quite a spectacle! Photos compliments of Getty Images/ MTV.com

Kristin Cavallari. Sequins & sparkles mini dresses were everywhere that night.

The lovely Katy Perry.

My favorite couple. Kanye & Amber before they were escorted out of the show.

Lady Gaga. Always head of the circus, but still love it.

Not sure who she is, but I know who designed the dress! My favorite Brian Lichtenberg!

Keri Hilson killing it! I expect nothing less from her stylist Mariel Haenn.

Alessandra Ambrosio.

Cassie Ventura.

Olivia from The City. I love the simplicity of this outfit. Leopard accent pieces are so key.

Fashionable Friends!

While I was doing my usual social networking rounds today I found myself admiring the ensembles of some of my friends. I have some pretty stylish friends and I wanted to share all the oooohs and aaahs here on my blog. More fashionable friends fotos to come!

Southbay Hunnies! Suggie, Jane, and Astrid. I miss these girls and am loving how they are all coordinated. High five on the sheer, bodycon dresses, and accents of white! So cute

I have always been a fan of gaudy and outstanding accessories. CB and Naomi are working the red!

Ri-ri in Rodarte

Love the leather cutout leggings. I need them in my life.

Madonna Has Gots Ta Go!

Some female celebrities age gracefully...like Raquel Welch, Sophia Loren, Lauren Hutton, even Twiggy. They revel in the peak of their careers, marinate in the spotlight for a couple of decades, and step down when their time is up! Madonna is having a serious, and I mean serious mid-life crisis. To be quite frank, I am tired of this woman and her soul searching antics. In the 90's she could get away with anything...from roaming the streets naked, having orgies, to throwing a tantrum when she wasn't nominated for an Oscar for her role in Evita, and being romantically involved with men such as Dennis Rodman. However, that was the 90's...it's 2009, and forgive me for saying this but I think it's time for Madonna to grow up.

Madonna should have thrown in the towel in 2006. But nooo, since then she has saturated the media with her stunts to preserve her halo of glory. I mean first it's the Kaballah, then it's the baby hunting and trying to outdo Angelina Jolie, then the divorce with Guy. And the cherry on top was the outfit she wore at the Met Gala on Monday. Hell to the no, Madonna has got to go. Marc Jacobs should have picked another face for the Louis Vuitton S/S ad campaign, but nope...he had to pick Madge.

Met Gala 2009: "The Model As Muse" Exhibition

Earlier this week Marc Jacobs sponsored this year's Met Gala for the "Model As Muse" exhibition. On his arm was his co-host, the legendary Kate Moss who after all these years has proven to be both a timeless and evolving beauty. The night was a showcase of the special relationship between designer and model. Designers escorted their favorite model who they deemed most inspiring in their careers. From Michael Kors and Lauren Hutton, to Zac Posen and Helena Christensen, and the list of pairs goes on. This red carpet event featured some of the world's most credible fashion big wigs and icons from Andre Leon Talley, Anna Wintour, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, The Olsen Twins, Victoria Beckham, Madonna, and many more. Below are some of my favorites. Enjoy. Read more about it at Style.Com

Kanye West with his lady love Amber Rose. From strip clubs in Philly to red carpet galas in The Big Apple. You go girl!

Best friends forever. Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta.

The lovely Ashley Olsen and Diane Kruger. They look like angels.

Supermodels Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford.

Marc Jacobs and Victoria Beckham.

The prettiest girl in the room. Chanel Iman

Have You Seen?

My American Apparel black high waisted shorts? I wear those bad boys religiously and they are nowhere to be found! I don't shop at American Apparel ever because the people who work there make me feel fat. Anyway...if any of my friends have them please return. Sure I can drop a simple $24 on a new pair, but I don't wanna.

Fashion Flashback Faux Paus: What Was I Thinking?

I wore this outfit exactly a year ago. The lovely Alpha Vomero of Seattle Street Style Blog; Disco Fun Bath took this picture of me at Sing Sing. It was an impromptu outfit that was dictated by the following circumstances; cold weather, not enough time to go home and change, too late to go shopping, etc. At any rate it's a very childish and immature outfit and I would never ever do this again...unless I had a time machine and could be 5 years old again...maybe then it would be appropriate. I look like a mix of a crazed M.I.A. fan and a half-assed student trying to jump on the Tokyo trends. It's a horrible look altogether and I'm very ashamed of myself. I still have both pieces in my closet and I'm debating on whether to keep them or toss them. Maybe this week I'll wear them in a different combination and see what I can come up with. Wish me luck!
