Fresh Air: Spring Editorial by Laura Cassidy and Melissa O'Hearn

If you're from Seattle and are remotely fashion sensible, you know there is one girl who knows their stuff when it comes down to style...the one and only Laura Cassidy. I've been fortunate enough to spark a friendship with Laura, who in many ways has become a mentor of mine and someone who has opened so many doors for me and for many others who are interested in fashion and style...rising designers, new boutiques, bloggers, etc.

Laura Cassidy is the style editor of Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, and in the most recent issue she has a six page fashion editorial titled "Fresh Air" photographed by Melissa O'Hearn, hair and makeup by Erin Skipley. Featuring threads from Alhambra, Marios, Jesica Milton, Totokaelo, and more. Below are some of my faves from the series.

I love the boyfriend relaxed fits with mix matched patterns, added with a pop of color in the shoes. Neutral tones with a bit of contrast is one of my favorite fashion "do's".

I've been a little hesitant to try the sock with heels look, but after seeing this photo I was determined to make it happen. I'm getting like 6 pairs on my next pay check.

Most people I know are a little afraid to try the ever so dreaded harem pants, but look at this photo and take note. See the rest of the series here.

Spring Forward: If There Were More Hours in a Day

I haven't had much time to blog lately, but thought I'd share some Spring fashion photos that are occupying space in my inspiration file. I'm a little overwhelmed with work, my freelance projects, all the while trying to be a good daughter, sister, girlfriend, all in one breath. I'm exhausted. I used to be very social...and I guess I still am, but I find myself "networking" rather than socializing. I'm a little lost for words these days, but hope the following images will do all the talking...

My Girl Likes To Party All The Time: Photo Shoot Collaboration with Patrick Wright and The Adventure School

It's always a gratifying experience when I get to work with people whose work I'm a "fan" of. So when my friend Patrick Wright said he was going to work on a shoot with his friend from The Adventure School, I stopped, dropped, and rolled! I've long admired the work of The Adventure School for their bold endeavors in event planning, expeditions, prop styling, and more. Below is a fun series that highlights the true essence of The Adventure School...party, fun, and creativity!

Photographer: Patrick Wright
Prop Styling: Aviva from The Adventure School
Wardrobe Stylist: Osiris Navarro
Model: Zjanna
Hair and Makeup: Angel Dorr

I found this tropical print sweetheart dress awhile back. I've been saving it for the perfect photo shoot. It screams party!

Party hat bra, gold sequins heels, and a patriotic petticoat. Pretty much awesome. The life of the party for sure.

This was a more sweet party fit. Three tier dress with sweetheart bodice.
